Noise is how hosts lose neighbours, planning permission and licences. By the time a complaint reaches the council the damage is done, and it is almost always over a night you knew nothing about.
1. The guest is warned
Sound crosses your threshold during quiet hours and the guest gets an automatic, polite message. No confrontation, and no involvement from you.
2. You're alerted
If it carries on you hear about it while you can still act, rather than the following morning from an angry neighbour.
3. It's on record
Every incident is logged with timestamps and levels. If you ever need to make a claim or answer a complaint, you have evidence rather than recollection.
Most noise stops at step one. A quiet nudge to the guest at 11pm costs you nothing. A complaint to the council costs you the listing.

Straight talk about surveillance
Cameras and microphones inside a rental are a serious matter, and platforms have strict rules about them. A decibel sensor is deliberately not either of those things. It can tell you a room is loud, and it genuinely cannot tell you what anyone said. That distinction is the entire design.
